Bridal Shower how to do it?

My mother in law want's to throw a bridal shower for my fiancé and me, my question is should I agree to do the bridal shower with him, or do it just for me?
How should I do it? Help me knoties, I'm a bride with out a wedding planner and I'm doing everything by myself

Your mother in law is hosting, so it is ultimately HER choice.

You shouldn't need to do anything besides show up. Couples showers are perfectly acceptable (I actually prefer them), so feel free to have your FI join you if that's MIL's plan.

  • thank you itzMs. And scribe95 she wants to host a bridal shower for us and she only wants to invite couples that are already married

What is her reasoning behind inviting only couples that are married? That's beyond bizarre. I mean, you and your fiance won't even be married.

What are your thoughts on this? Will her rule keep people you would want to be there off the guest list?

  • be sure she knows a couple's shower does not mean its a couples only-- it means its unisex.  Single people can come too!  I would have been super bummed if I did not get to go my best friends shower just because I was single at the time.  If you are uncomfortable with her ideas it is OK to decline.
