I am ready to have a ton of fun at the wedding and then heading off on our honeymoon.

I feel like the kids that sit in the back seat while on a road trip saying...Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

IS IT OCTOBER YET???

I'm beyond ready!!! I just looked at the calendar for September and realized that we have something going every weekend up until the wedding. *sigh*

@rustytammy - I just looked at my calendar and realized the OPPOSITE - I don't have ANYTHING scheduled for September - which is nuts! I need to get on that and fill it up

However I do believe my shower/bachelorette weekend is the last weekend in September...but I'm not supposed to know.

We are pretty booked for all of September and the end of August means state fair for MN (second largest in the US!) so we have that to look forward to too

my mom pointed out that it's like 8 weeks away. Eek!

I just booked a weekend trip for us to go to Vegas in a few weeks, I need the getaway and to not think about wedding plans for 2 days

I picked up a bunch of shifts at the bar this month and will again next month.

Our schedule: This weekend-bday party, weekend after I work at the bar all weekend except Sun (yes, all day sat), the weekend after is my shower, the weekend after-labor day we are on vacation. Come back from labor day weekend and the second weekend in Sept I have a shower to go to and FI has his bachelor party, weekend after that is my bachelor party and then there is only two weeks left.

I think I'm still the only person that doesn't feel the need to "rush" it. Things are going well, however there is still a lot to do (WR and NWR). So, I'm good!

So jealous!!! I was going to talk to my Matron of Honor and see if she would move the bach party to another weekend. However, after looking at the calendar that is impossible.

@SewInLove ~ All the plans in September are NWR. It's FI birthday weekend, friends wedding, softball tourney and my dad's weather wing reunion. I'm down to a few "must do" items. After that, if they aren't done then they really weren't that important. LOL

This weekend: apartment hunting for me in Maryland.

Next weekend: cleaning

8/17: Minnesota

8/24: cleaning/getting rid of stuff

8/31: repeat of 8/24

9/7: moving into the new place

9/14: unpacking

9/21: groomsman's wedding

9/28: organizing

10/5: IKEA?

10/12: preparing for FH to move in

10/19: organize FH's stuff

10/26: Get married!!

We are 72 days out, which seems scary enough until I look at the calendar and realise that (a) that means we only have TEN weeks until our wedding (OMG!) and (b) we have something going on all but ONE of those weekends.

We've mostly got stuff under control: we're firming up with the caterer and cake lady this coming week, flowers are done, DJ and photog are done, venue is done, my dress has been fitted (although I need to buy a slip for it), the salon is booked, the church is booked, we're doing pre-Cana tomorrow.

But we have some stuff yet to do: I have to mail out the invites (but first I have to have the direction cards printed), we have to order the favours.

What am I forgetting??

ETA: (Changed nine weeks to 10; apparently I can't count).

i just want it to be october! i hope its a nice sunny fall day with all the leaves changing. i have only gotten 2 no's so far in responses and receieved to bridal shower gifts! i am loving this but also cannot wait to be relaxing on my cruise in the caribbean in about 10 weeks (or less)

loving the original post! I am so feeling like that kid too! I have most big things done. Looking for bigger earrings for myself, like statement earrings. Any ideas people? I also have to figure out gifts for bridal party. Other than that we are pretty much good. Addressing envelopes tomorrow with matron of the honor's help. She has such better writing! I just want to celebrate already!

@lplions: I thought nothing about time left until I saw it counted in weekends. Now that this weekend is over, I have 11 weekends? FUCK. I have shit going on the next two weekends already and my high school reunion another weekend, so that leaves eight unclaimed weekends SWEET MERCIFUL JESUS

My weekends look like this:

8/10: Either a trip tubing on the river or boating

8/17: Open (thankfully!)

8/24: Godson's birthday party

8/31: State fair?

9/7: FI bachelor party so probably some wedding stuff

9/14: Bachelorette party weekend

9/21: Ramble Jam? (local country music fest)

9/28: I have that week before off so maybe weekend up north?

10/5: Married!

And oh lord, I just realized that I have very little time to get stuff done. I'm glad I took half of September off to finish stuff up!

Currently, I've just got my RB's B-day party this weekend, then at some point MOH wants to do a Bridal Shower (we're talking late September).

Somewhere in there, we want to do a bachelorette party.

I'm just glad that this weekend we got pretty much all the registry stuff over and done with (I need to double check if he wants to hit up and do Home Depot or not) and I picked up my wedding band.

He also found and bought his ring. One stop, first ring he tried on. Tungsten-Carbide ring, so it should stand up to some abuse.

Dropped off my favors at my sister's (my bluebonnet seeds), and gave my mom the charms for my garters and my sister the one for my bouquet. I'm still invite stalking; they're still in production. Gotta order postage for them.

My next fitting is next Friday. *gulp* Gotta pay the balance off due on that.

Let's see; hire a musician, pay the photographer, figure out something for a cake, order toasting glasses (maybe), book the limo, hire a Police Officer for traffic control to get in/out of the ceremony site, get something for the boys for the ceremony, pay for the gas light sponsorship, rent chairs for the ceremony site....and I feel like I'm forgetting something big here...*sigh*

Big sis is designing the bouquets and bouts, so I know they'll look amazing.

You know, back when we officially got engaged in March (for us the 'official' engagement was when I picked the date of the ceremony LOL), it seemed like October was SOOOOOOO far away. Now I'm sitting here wishing for just a few more weekends between me and it!!
