Proof my invite wording please?

edited August 2013 in Wedding Etiquette Forum

Hope no one minds.  The Invites and Paper board seems really slow.  Please help!

Together with their families

Nextrightthing

and

Mr. Nextrightthing

request the honour of your presence

at their marriage

Saturday, the fourteenth of December,

two thousand thirteen

at ten-thirty in the morning

The Church

Address

Dallas, Texas

What am I missing?  Thanks!

  • You don't need a comma after December. Otherwise, looks good to me. Though I'm not a fan of honour. Unless you're
  • Thank you.  Yes, I was debating on using the british-looking spelling.  Hm.

There.  Also, using the word "honour" is appropriate for your wedding at a church.  Also, "Bride``s Name and Groom's Name" is typically used for Jewish weddings where as "Brides Name to Groom`s Name`` is used for Christian wedding, but that`s kind of knit-picking.

  • I agree that it should be "half after 10"
