We booked a location in Milwaukee WI for July 19th, 2014.  At midnight when the reception is wrapping up it will be the one year anniversary of the day my fiancee proposed to me:)

Some questions:

Now that I have the date when do I ask my bridesmaids?  Also, how far ahead are we suppse to send out invites?  The location is about 2 1/2 hours away from where we live, so it's a mini destination wedding and most people will probably be staying overnight.  I've seen conflicting info on the save the dates...  Thanks:)

    I have already picked and notified bridesmaids. I also have notified alternates, lol. If ur not sure they can do it I would wait for a little while to make sure. Invites are supposed to go out 2 months I think but its up to you u can pass the word and see how many will be staying overnight. If alot are thinking about it I would send out a bit earlier. Save the money on save the dates unless people need airfare

    You can ask people to be bridesmaids anytime, but many over on the wedding party board would recommend waiting until the 6 month mark (this is around when you look for bridesmaids dresses)

    Save the dates are optional, if you do them most would recommend 6-9 months out. If you send someone a save the date, you HAVE to invite them. And they don't have to be expensive, there are plenty of save the date postcards out there.

    Invites 6-8 weeks.

    My wedding is also 7/19/14 :-)
