wedding day make-up

I'm looking into having professional make-up done for the wedding... I found someone who charges $425 for on-site make-up for myself and up to 4 other people - is this average? Any recommendations?

The salon I'm usingcharges a $200 travel fee a $45-ish per person so that seems right on! Do you HAVE to get your makeup done at your site? Not even price wise but I figure they have more of their tools and much better lighting at a salon, and your bridal suite won't be cluttered with everything to get ready.

I'm using Elles Salon in Mechanisburg, LOVE them. Check out their facebook page, pinterest and website for photos of their work.

Thanks! I will check them out! After talking with my girls, I may be the only one getting make-up done, so that may factor into my choice.

I am leaning towards http://www.makeupbychelsea.net/ she has good reviews on wedding wire. I am also the only person getting my makeup done. So I am planning on going to her. I think she works with someone for hair, so you can all get it done at the same time.

Cheapbride, that's actually who I was looking at. Like you said, she seems to have really good reviews online. It'd be great to do both at the same place (or have both come to me, depeneding). I will probably contact her first.

Have any of you looked at Carmina Cristina? Several vendors have recommended her for makeup, but I think she's a little too expensive....

Mkincaid, I know someone who used Carmina for her wedding and her makeup in pictures was stunning. I think she's pricier but probably worth it, if you're willing/able to splurge.
