As the days are quickly flying by, I am realizing I have to stop putting things off. So I need to start thinking about gifts for people. What, if anything, are you getting for your bridal party members? Your parents? Your FI?

Looking for ideas.

My bridesmaid is 13, and flower girl is 10 they are getting jewelry boxes. And ring bearer is 8 video game for him. Groomsman I have no clue gonna leave that up to FI.

I've tried to stick with the recommendation to shop as though you would for their birthday. I only have one person, a Matron of Honor, and I know she has no use for cute monogrammed bags or clutches, etc. Going off her personality, I've just bought a signed book from a favored author (religious based), and ordered a necklace from here: http://www.stampthemoment.com

If you've heard of Origami Owl, they're similar; I just felt there were more choices for the price.

I find giving a gift to my FI rather odd, and have no plans to do so.

I struggled with this, as I have 6 bridesmaids + FI has 5 groomsmen, so it adds up fast and we are both students on a budget..but I still wanted to give them something nice they'd each personally enjoy.

This is what we're thinking:

My bridesmaids are all pretty girly - I'm treating them to spa manicures or pedicures (whichever they prefer), champagne, and lunch the day before the wedding + giving them personalized jewelry at the rehearsal dinner

FI has 5 groomsmen who are all outdoorsy and like fishing - he's going to get them nice polarized sunglasses from REI

Parents...no idea. Probably jewelry for the moms, maybe liquor + cigars for the dads? They're so much harder to shop for!

I only have a MOH not sure what I am going to get her yet I'll find something wonderful. FI is responsible for his BM. We have agreed that as our gift to each other we will write a "love" letter to each other. We have agreed with our parents that buying them gifts when they helped to pay for the wedding seemed silly kind of like them buying their own gifts, so no gifts for them. I am getting my cousin who's home we're having the wedding at a very nice bottle of wine and something else special not sure what yet. I am also going to offer to take we 3 girls for a weekend so her and her hubby can have a weekend away.

I got my girls coach wristlets, flip flops, bridesmaid tshirts and pearl bracelets to wear in the wedding. I'll probably get FG a Barbie doll and bag filled with toys she can entertain herself with while everyone is getting ready. RB will probably get a bag of fun like FG plus Legos. I don't know what GM are getting but FI said he is keeping it at $50 per guy. I say he should just get them GameStop gift cards cause they're all video game nerds.

FI: watch he's been lusting over & personalized cuff links

MOH: necklace, shoes, and probably something else since she's my sister.

BM: necklace & shoes (neither of which I'm saying they have to wear that day at all. they can if they want, but they don't have to)

BM: probably a personalized knife. and shoes.

GM: probably scotch. and shoes.

POB: no freaking clue.

POG: again, no freaking clue.

SILs: I'm making them (or going to attempt to make them) bracelets.

BMs: i got them LLBean totes with the initials on them, maine mason jars, alex and ani bracelets that say "thank you", and hangers with their names on them so they can hang their BM dress.

MOH (my sister): got all of the above plus a crystal brooch for her dress to make her stand out a little bit more.

GM: no idea, tried to show FI some ideas on etsy.

My Parents: probably wait until after the wedding and get them a couple nice picture frames with wedding photos, and probably something else cause they paid for my wedding.

FIs Parents: not sure!

So far, all I know is I'm getting my MOH "The Great Gatsby" book printed up as a poster (Clicky Linky). I need to get her something else, I just have NO CLUE what to do. She's a foodie, so I might explore that avenue.

And then I need to get my BM/Big Sis something. Clueless there too. *sigh*

Considering getting FI, from the same place, The Bible (Clicky This Linky). I already bought him Harley Davidson cuff links.

My mom's going to make something for my FG and probably my RB (FG will be 2, RB will be 4). I'm also buying some cheap color books and crayons for the kiddos to have at the reception to keep them occupied.

Honestly, I -suck- at gift giving!! I stress myself out about getting the PERFECT gift.

Plus, we need to get something to present to the boys during the ceremony. Oy.

I think I am going to buy FI a pair of Oakleys or RayBans since he keeps saying he needs new sunglasses before the HM.

BMs/MOH: I got them all personalized totes, personalized wine glasses, a bottle of champagne, nail polish(not for the day of the wedding!!), flip flops and will be getting them an Alex and Ani bracelet that reflects something that is important to them. Also I have been looking for something little to give them that no one else will get (for example I bought one an anchor necklace since she loves them).

GM: FI got them coolers with their names and last inital, a beer glass that represents them and will get them a 6 pack.

Parents: NO IDEA!!! any suggestions???

i saw these on etsy and was thinking of doing those as well! a great sentimental item to keep forever.

For my BMs: pashminas, a crystal bangle, and a treat yo' self jar that I'm making - so far those will have fancy lotion, fancy shampoo/conditioner, tinted lip balm, mascara, nail file/buffer, hair ties/pins, nail polish, make-up remover wipes...and I'll probably get something else, too.

FI is responsible for the GM...so far, all he has is ties.

For my friend who is officiating, I'm not sure yet - I was thinking of a pocket watch or something. He's a watch guy.

Parents: I have NO idea.

FI and I already got our gifts to each other We both got tattoos.

MOH and Bridesmaid since I only have 2: I got them a red tote bag and stenciled their names on them in fancy writing to make it personalized and then on the other side put our wedding date. Inside I put flip flops that they can wear at the wedding, I bought them their jewelry along with things they could need on the day of the wedding, mini Kleenex, mints etc. and put it all in the clutch. As well since my MOH is my sister I got her a wall mount thing about sisters and my BM is my BFF so I did the same thing with a thing about friends. These are also in the bags.

LOVE stefanilynn's idea for lip balm, nail file and all that stuff so I think I will also get some of that stuff and put it in the bags for the girls as well! Thanks for the idea!

GM: I am leaving up to my FI but I know he is buying his BM who is his brother his suit. Don't know what he is doing for his groomswoman any ideas?

For our Parents we bought all 3 of the couples a really nice picture frame that we had engraved with our names and our wedding date and we have put our engagement photo in it for now. After the wedding we will give them one of our wedding pictures so they can put it in there as well.

FI: table top Donkey Kong arcade game from 1981. He got one for Christmas as a kid and because he burned through a set of batteries in one day, his parents made him return it. I don't know if he remembers telling me the story or not, but I CAN'T WAIT to give it to him!

BMs: each is getting a purse/clutch (not all the same, each to their taste and personality and not something I expect them to use for the wedding) and a mask from New Orleans.

GMs: up to FI. I don't think he has any idea yet.

Parents: perhaps wedding albums. I don't know. I haven't found anything that excites me yet.

FI: After we got engaged, we got him a really nice watch - that is sort of his wedding present

MOHs (2 of them): Silver Tiffany initial necklaces and a little jewelry dish pottery from etsy

BMs (5 of them): Silver Tiffany initial necklaces

GMs: FI told me the other day, and I thought it was a great idea, and I honestly don't remember what it was at all. Totally slipped my mind

Flower girls and Ring bearers (7 of them total): Personalized pottery ornaments with their names and the date, gift cards to Toys R Us

My dad: Tie clip with his initials

My mom: Tiffany bracelet

I don't know what FI is getting for his mother

And yes, I do want the girls to wear the jewelry the day of and know it is something they would like to wear beyond the wedding day. I have absolutely no problem admitting that.

FI: he is getting me

we are paying enough to get married, why does he need a present for this occasion?

BM: "Pamper" totes: Found these simple black totes at Joanns, filled with some pampering items (nail polish, wine, etc) It was cheap but we are on a budget. All will also get heartfelt note

MOH: Will get an additional Caribou Coffee GC

GM: No idea, FI needs to get on that

Parents: All have made it very clear that everyone is spending enough money. But I plan on getting them famed pictures once the wedding is over

FG: Princess craft set

RB: No idea again

Officiant (also FFIL): no idea... plus he is also paying the large majority of the wedding

All BMs (including MOHs): monogrammed makeup bags from etsy, with travel size "my favorite cosmetics" items inside like my favorite mascara, hand sanitizer- but stuff everyone would be able to use
My MOHs: An extra gift for organizing my shower - Coach wristlets
GM: Not sure what my FI is thinking but probably flasks
Parents: Likely gift cards to their favorite restaurants

Gifts I've gotten so far...and ideas for the others:

Matron of Honor (Sister) - Embroidered work bag - need to get something else that is small

Maid of Honor (Sister) - Cute overnight bag and am thinking of getting her some workout clothes because she just is starting to get into crossfit

BM (BFF from College) - Awesome wine carrying case for going to outdoor concerts and camping, Cutting Board that has a great picture on it that represents her, FI and my friendship

BM (BFF from Elementary School - I HAVE NO CLUE

FG - This awesome Disney Princess Wedding book that is personalized - probably get her a few small other things

RB (x2) - Not sure yet - but will most likely be truck related

GM - FI is in charge of groomsmen...but I believe it will be along the lines of cigars and alcohol since that is what he and his buddies like to do when they get together.
