Flowers for the guys

Do you think the groomsmen and the groom should really wear a boutonniere for the wedding? There are a lot of people in our bridal party and would rather have that money go towards the bridesmaids' bouquets. Not to mention I'm not really a flower person (I'm having a broach bouquet). Do you think it's required?

No it isn't requred.  Instead you could have them wear pocket squares to bring in a hint of color.

Not necessary for any kind of boutonniere. If you want something for them to wear thats non-floral, pocket squares are great and inexpensive. You can also do crazy fun stuff like lego figures.

Not at all. It is up to you and the look you want. There are a lot of things you can use to substitute or have none at all. I personally think bow ties are really fun.
