(Sorry this is kinda long) I've been pretty easy going with my bridesmaids as far as what they can wear in the wedding. I chose the color of the dress and told them to pick the style they liked best for them. I still maintained veto power in case someone tastes completely clashed. They were all aware of this. We all went to David's Bridal together and they tried on dresses and ultimately they all chose a different dress.
One bridesmaid who has killer legs chose a short dress, which i'm perfectly fine with, it looks good on her. Another bridesmaid wanted a short dress also and liked the short dress the other bridesmade chose. The problem with that is that she doesn't have the shape for that type of dress. She has a really large azz (the shelf ass) and thick legs. The dress didn't look that good on her because the pleats on the back puckered out. I told her she could not get that dress. I approved of another short dress she liked and told her she could get that one instead. Another reason she wanted a short dress was because she was in a wedding last year that had a long dress and wanted to be different this time (the fact that it's my wedding isn't different enough apparently)
Anyway... She finally decided on a long dress that looked very elegant and lovely on her. Okay, dresses are ordered and everyone is happy with their choices... Until two days later she calls me and says she's thinking of switching her dress to a short one. I said fine, as long as it's not the ONE dress I told you you can't wear. I still have to approve the new choice. Okay she says, two more days later she tells me she decided to stick with the long dress and not switch it.
Three weeks ago David's Bridal tells her her dress is in and to come pick it up in 10 days. She did not pick it up within the time period so she paid the shipping charge and they put it in the mail to her. She texted me last night and said, I got my dress but I think they gave me someone elses dress. They sent her the short dress she wanted from the beginning and in her size! How's that for a lucky coincidence??
Was she expecting me to say, well since it's your size and you wanted that to begin with just keep it. Uh no, If David's truly made a "mistake", they will correct it and send you the correct dress. She has one week to clear this up or she can sit as a guest or not in the dress SHE wanted so badly that she's tryna play me for a fool.
Really??? P. S. I will be calling the Bridal shop myself and find out the real deal.
