Hair Do's

Do you know how you are gonna have your hair? I'm still trying to decide. It's definite I'm gonna have the top half in a bun on the back, but not sure if I will leave the rest straight or curl it.

Re: Hair Do's

  • Up and curly.

Though the stylist thinks it may be necessary to curl my hair. Which I really don't want.... I don't give a rat's ass if my curls are fricking uniform. They're not uniform any other day! Sigh. </rant>

What's your dress look like? Do you have a "look" you're going for? What kind of hair accessories do you have? Are you doing a veil? (My memory is horrible and I've been staring at invitations all afternoon, so I apologize if you've already said all of those things.)
  • My dress is strapless A-line that is poofy at the bottom. I think it's crazy cause the first thing I told the lady at the bridal shop was I'm not a girly girl, so nothing poofy. It was the first dress I tried on and I almost cried cause it was perfect. Even after trying on 4 other dresses that were more of what I said I bought the first one.  It also has a royal blue sash that ties around my waist.

I really wanna look like me. It's not a huge fancy wedding. Invited 100 people. Gonna be at a small chapel where we live, and my kids are gonna be the RB FG and BM.

No hair accessories or veil for me. I have a flower clip that I'm gonna put in BM hair, and the FG is gonna have pigtail french braids with flower clips at the end.

My hair doesn't hold a curl well so I'm worried that the curl will fall out before getting pics taken (aprox. 8 hours after I curl my hair) That's why I'm thinking about leaving the back straight.

  • What do ya think? The 3rd pic is 6 hours after I curled it. So it may actually hold up long enough.

  • I say go for it.
  • Are you doing it or someone else? The way to maybe get it to hold a curl is to wash it the night before, not the day of. Every time I got my hair done for dances, weddings, etc, I was always told not to wash it the day of. The oils in your hair help keep the curl.

  • I will be doing it myself. Thanks for the tip @stina51286

  • I really like the curls - but I would "separate" them a bit more so they're not "hot off the press" (literally - ha, I made a pun). Also, that way if they do droop a bit, it isn't as noticeable cause it will give your hair body overall.

I have had a hair trial already with my stylist, and it will sorta be half up and the portion that is down will be curled.
