Guest +1 -- no inner envelope

We have a handful of people we are letting bring a guest with them (various reasons). We do not have inner envelopes, so my question is how do I go about letting these guest know they can bring someone with them? "And guest" on outter envelope? Note inside?

    Also, why are only some people allowed a guest and not others.  I feel that if you are going to let some singles bring a guest then all singles should be able to bring a guest.

    Oh sorry, this handful are the single guests we have. All others are married or in a relationship and their significant others are invited.

    @hipskip01 okay cool, I was just confused by your post.  Also, so used to people just being rude to all of their guests I guess I just tend to think the worst :)

    I disagree with Maggie about only allowing certain people have guests.  For the most part, our single peeps aren't being given guests.  Our exceptions are wedding party members who are single and a couple of single wedding guests who won't know anyone else at the wedding.  Single individuals who know a number of people were not given +1s although I will welcome them to bring someone if we get enough people who RSVP no.

    We did the same thing.  Single friends and cousins that knew several people at the wedding were not given a plus one.  However, we did give plus ones to single WP members and a couple of guests who didn't know anyone else.
