What color suit/tux with ivory wedding dress??

Hi future brides!! I need help. My dress is ivory, and my bridesmaids are wearing clover (a darker sage green sort of color). I don't know what color my man should wear! Our ceremony is outside, with our reception inside. I am open to both tuxes or suits. I know brown would look nice, but fiancé is nixing that idea. Do you all think a grey would look nice as opposed to black? HELP!

I'm totally with your fiancé on the brown. Any shade of gray or black will look just fine. Ivory, gray, and black are all neutrals. They look good with everything (including clover).

Do a nice suit if you're having a day time or afternoon wedding. You can do a black tux if your wedding is formal-ish and in the evening.

I hate brown suits with a passion. I think you can never go wrong with a gray or black suit. Black is fabulous since many groomsman could already have them in their closets.

I was just having this same dilemma! I also have an Ivory dress and my bridesmaids are also wearing clover! (david's bridal right?) and i was just looking at everything together and a medium/light gray or black look really good with everything. especially if you're staying with more neutral colors. My colors are clover and light blue and my dress has gold and silver beading so it all looks great!

I would go with tan or gray. Tip- you can go to the paint store and find paint chips that are similar to your colors and put them next to each other to see how they look with one another.

I really like gray suites. If my BM dresses weren't chocolate I would be doing gray. However, I think gray and brown look odd next to each other.

I am considering gray as well for my wedding the girls are wearng purple. Should the dad wear gray too? OR should they wear black?

Not brown, as that is a weak color. A tux should never be anything but black, ever. With an evening wedding, stick with black tux or black, navy, gray suits. With a daytime wedding, tuxes are not appropriate, so black, navy, or gray suits.

Gray is a neutral and looks good with everything. Also, if you decide to go with a suit, gray is more versatile than black for after the wedding.

Gray if he is wearing a suit, black if it's a tux. Dark colors if it's an evening affair, lighter colors might be appropriate if it's an afternoon or morning wedding. I feel brown doesn't really work unless you are having a very casual outdoorsy affair.

I'm wearing ivory as well, and the fiance will be wearing a medium steely blue suit with tan/bourbon coloured shoes. We didn't coordinate at all, but they look really good together!

Edit: I just noticed your BMs are wearing green.. finding it hard to picture clover, but may not work? A dark grey sounds like a good idea.
