Bridesmaids Dresses

Has anyone ordered their bridesmaid's dresses online with any luck?  I've looked at a few sites, but I worry about the quality and colors.

Re: Bridesmaids Dresses

  • I ordered online at davids bridal but thats it.
  • They have a clearance section so some dresses are $39.99 instead of $139.99 etc
  • I've ordered JCrew dresses from...JCrew.

    David's Bridal dresses from Ebay.

Also, I used Toast bridal online to get a Watters bridesmaid dress. It was fine.

Check out the FAQ post at the top of this board that lists all of the "knockoff" sites to avoid.

  • I have heard a lot of people getting dresses online with no problem but maybe you should double check the specific store you are getting them from, see what kind of feedback they have to ease your mind.
  • We ordered BM dresses for both my wedding and an upcoming wedding I'm in from bridal shops that let you order online. They're licensed retailers of the brands that were chosen and are places with physical stores, but they also have an online presence. In the case of the dresses for my BMs, this lowered the price from the $180-$200 mark to the $130 mark.

  • We went to Alfred Angelo, and found out what sizes we needed, but we did not order them. We went home and found them some were else for HALF the cost! My BM loved me for that, it was one of those places out of China, but they turned out great, same for my rehearsal dress. I can not remeber which one we used, if you do a Google search you can find tons of them, and some are cheaper than others.
  • I'm in the process of ordering dresses from BHLDN (I like that you can special order specific sizes if the ones you need aren't listed). But I also got my wedding dress from there and I was more than pleased! If pricing is an issue, they typically have a pretty healthy sale selection.  Good Luck!

Just know, these sites don't sell dresses from the actual designer - they're knock-offs.

  • My BM and I aren't too worried about having a designer name attached to the dress.  We're more concerned about quality and budgeting.  I would feel awful asking them to buy dresses >$100, so we're trying to keep the price as low as possible.
  • They may not have the label, but the quality is just as good. My BM and I could care less, they are only wearing it once. My rehearsal dress is beautiful, and sadly it is better quality than my wedding dress. Money is a huge factor for all them, most of them have their daughters, and sons in my wedding as jr. BM and GM, they were all about cheap. They agreed that even if it didn't last, if it made them feel good they were happy. We are about to order one, to make sure that they will get here in time, I will message you when it gets here, if you want that is.

They may be a 'knock-off" but they look the exact same. Other than the name/label they are identical. None of us are big label people anyway.
  •  I ordered a BM dress from Davids Bridal for my sister's wedding last year and everything went perfectly fine.
  • Target released a bridesmaid line earlier this year and they're all under $60. Their collection has a variety of fabrics, styles, colors, etc. Also, there are a few brick and mortar bridal shops that offer online shopping like RK Bridal (NYC) and BestBridalPrices (Frew's Bridal in IL).

This is NOT TRUE in most situations.

Over the years on TK, we have seen many a bride who is ripped off by a Chinese knockoff seller.

Not to mention, giving your credit card and personal information to a not-so-reputable seller in China is a poor choice.
