Friend who is ordained

So we have a friend that did the whole online thing and became ordained (new jersey). We want him to marry us in Vegas....has anyone else done this before? I was ready and i found some paperwork on the clark county site, that needs to be signed by the church or someone in charge to sign it to authorize termporary ability to marry in nevada. Can anyone help out with this?

It is a straight forward process that will take at least a month so ideally have your friend start the process well ahead of time. I have the steps at:

Basically just this:

If you would prefer to bring your own officiant to preside over your wedding ceremony, that is also an option. To do that, your chosen officiant will need to go through the registration process before your wedding date. At the very least, 30 days ahead of time should be planned to ensure the process completes before your wedding date. The out of state temporary officiant application process is outlined here:

My sister is doing this for us. Once she completed the online stuff she was notified that they can only confirm 90 days out. My coordinator told me this shouldn't be a problem, but she booked a back up just in case.

On the form there is a spot for the church or the leader of the denomination. Who did your sister use for that? Our friend did his online.

A representative of the church, whether online or not, will need to sign the form in front of a notary. It can probably be done by mail but I'd expect the church to charge a fee for the time required, and to pay the notary if they don't have one on staff.
