Church gym reception, need to decor

I rented a very ugly gym for a wedding reception. It's wood paneling. I need suggestions to make it elegant looking. The wedding is in October. i desperate beause of my reception site. (These pics prove that)

If you attempt to drape/decorate the walls or ceiling you're just going to draw attention to it. Instead, focus on the tables. Make really beautiful centerpieces, get nice lighting, and make sure the food is good and the bar is open.

Eh, I don't think it's THAT bad.

I agree with PP. Lots of pretty flowers, lots of yummy food and drink.

I wouldn't worry about the ceiling or walls. Why not dim the lights and use really nice flowers and candles with small electronic string lights like Christmas lights and/or stage lighting? That, along with delicious food and drinks and good music, ought to set a nice romantic tone.

I am not sure of your budget, but if you really don't like the way it looks then you could add fabric hangings of some kind:

Regarding the ceiling, you could drape more fabric and/or use paper lanterns:

Honestly, it doesn't look too bad. I agree with all of the above. One thought though would be to make sure the bathrooms for your guests (ladies) is comfortable like those ladies that might be of a more mature age or handicapp.

The room looks very nice.
