Photography conflict

I'm in conflict. I met with both Kinga from KS Photo Studio and Jason Rhee. I like both of there work KS Photo Studio seems to include more in the package as well as two photographers and a little bit more in my budget as to the package they are offering me but Kinga is not available the day of my wedding therefore i would get possibly her father as my photographer and im not sure how i feel about that. With Jason i get Jason but a somewhat smaller package for a higher price.  Can anyone please give me feed back as to what you would do? or if you have used either photog your feed back on them. Thanks in advance

Re: Photography conflict

  • Have you read reviews on both photographers? or looked at kinga's father's work and met him? have you only looked at those two photographers?
  • I booked with Kinga for my wedding and am extremely pleased. Very polite and communicative. I don't know about her father since she is doing my wedding herself but I'm sure that's where she gets her talent from. :) I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue to ask her for you to be able to meet with her father beforehand.

I can't really say much about Jason since he was booked for my wedding. When I emailed him though it didn't really seem like he offered the full package like Kinga did.

Good luck in your decision! :)

  • If you're not confident about working with Kinga's father and you don't think Jason offers you good value, why not keep looking?  There's a bizillion photographers out there of all different styles at all different prices.  There's no reason to settle.

FWIW, we're working with Robert Wayne Photography.  He's frequently compard to Jason; only priced a bit differently.  Bob is ala carte and that's one of the things that sold us on him.

  • We booked Jason for our wedding year I am so excited to be working with him.  There were somethings we wanted in a wedding package and somethings we didn't.  He was so flexible in creating a package for us, of the things we wanted within our budget.

  • If you are not positive I would make sure to meet the father as well as see his work.  I'd shop around a bit.  We looked at Jason but went with Robert Wayne because we liked his system that let us decide what albums and such we wanted to order after the wedding.  Good luck!

  • I am booked with Kinga and my wedding is in 2 weeks. She told me when we had our e-shoot that she learned from her father. Have you met with him or seen his work? I chose her over Jason bc her package included more.

  • I did ask her if she can send me some of his work from a recent wedding i am still waiting on that. If i am still unsure I will continue to shop around see a few other options in photographers. Thanks everyone for your feedback! :)

  • We are using Kinga for our November wedding and she's amazing. I do know that her father started the business so I am sure he is talented. I am sure she would set up a time for you to meet with him if that would make you more comfortable. I know that she puts in so much work on each and every photo that I am sure she would still be very involved in your photos. Here are a couple of our e-shots (hoping they show up).

I booked Kinga for my wedding and am currently working on my thank you cards and album with her. She takes beautiful pictures and I'm sure her father does as well since he taught her.
