where can I sell my never worn wedding dress??

I have a dress that I need to sell but am not having much luck not sure where to advertise or where to go... Any suggestions????

Hey Brides-to-be,

If you're looking for a unique dress this ones for you! The dress has never been worn in a wedding, worn only to take photos for inquires. I have receipts for the gown and alterations. The dress was purchased at a small boutique in Massachusetts. I am selling this only because I have had a wedding venue change and this dress no longer suits the new venue. The dress is a size 4 and will fit a petite sized bride-to-be (0-4). I paid $1,660 and i'm asking $1,200 OBO.. I will pay for shipping.

please message me at Ambcheer@aol.com with serious inquiries only.

Thanks Ashley

  • I think part of the reason you're having trouble is the lack of description and pictures (except the pics in your first post). Also, it's been on this site less than a week, so you have to be patient! Here is my suggestion: Include the size, designer, style name and/or number. Include pictures. Consider lowering your price (I know, that sucks) if you don't have any interest after a couple weeks or months. It may be harder to sell your dress if it's not from a well known designer. List on your local Craigslist as well as specialty wedding sites including this one. Others sites I can think of include www.weddingbee.com, www.preownedweddingdresses.com, www.oncewed.com, www.hustleyourbustle.com, www.stillwhite.com, www.tradesy.com, www.bravobride.com, www.nearlynewlywed.com, www.woreitonce.com, www.smartbride.com... I'm sure there's more! Some are free, but the better ones may charge for listing. Finally, consider taking it to a consignment shop. Many people are wary of buying a $1200 dress they can't try on.
  • Thanks so much for the help, I really appreciate it.
  • Try weddingbee.com
recycle bride site (do a search)
yes you need to tell the overall description, fabric, length, size, if unaltered or not, if tailor made, measurements, color and designer if applicable.
