Valley of Fire

We are considering a wedding in Vegas, specifically a ceremony at Valley of Fire.  It seems as though there are a lot of packages available, but I am hoping for a 'build your own' feature; namely I want to be able to choose my own flowers, hair stylist and will be bringing a photographer.

There will be less than 20 guests.  Any suggestions on how to begin organizing?  Thank you for any advice or stories of experience!

Re: Valley of Fire

  • i would check with vegasgroom.com hes got a lot of stuff on his site
  • Why not just DIY the whole thing?

You should be able to get a permit if you contact the park directly.  Then just hire your own vendors - officiant, floral, MUA, photographer, transportation, etc.

The first thing I'd do is call about the permit though.  You want to make sure you're able to get one before you plan anything else.  Then you can look into your other vendors.
  • Thanks southerncutie; the vegasgroom site has been a huge help already!  Vireyda; I think that's the way to go.  I wasn't thinking of just getting the park permit on my own... duh!  Thanks for the light bulb moment!
  • I am currently still at work and can't send a pm to you via my phone, but as soon as I get home I will sent you one with all of my info. We are going it all on our own with different vendors. I haven't updated my planning bio in a while, but you can check that out in the mean time if you like. Welcome to the board and awesome choice on considering Valley of Fire...currently I am the only one having a ceremony there.
  • VoF was first on my list of ceremony spaces, but as our guest list grew...the logisitics for planning became more complex and I just want to keep things simple and easy.  It looks beautiful though and you'll get some amazing photos out there.
