The Chart House in Weehawken, NJ

Hi everyone -

My fiance and I are in love with The Chart House in Weehawken, NJ and would like to have our reception there. Their max capacity is 250, which is the amount of people we have right now. We are worried that it will be uncomfortable to fit that many people. We are going to try to cut down our list a bit, but was wondering if anyone has had their weddings there and can give some advice on how many people they had and if it felt cramped.

    A friend of mine got married there last October. It was about 200 people and everyone fit comfortably. It is a gorgeous venue, beautiful view!

    If you're inviting 250, you should be fine because you have to figure that not everyone is going to come.  I think they say about 20% of people will decline.  I haven't been to the Chart House in a long time, but I still remember the views - gorgeous.

    I would make arrangements to visit the Chart House when the room is set for 250. I personally cannot imagine it being comfortable. I attended a wedding there for 125 and thought it was a good sized room for that amount of people. Cannot imagine twice as many in that room.
