Fun and affordable ways to get married in Vegas

We are looking into getting married in Vegas next March or April. It will be just the tow of us. We would like it to be fun and memorable. We have looked into getting married in the Valley of Fire but think that we might have to look for something more affordable. We're not really into Elvis! Any suggestions for venues or ways to get married that are fun, affordable and quirky?

We will most likely be spending 3 days in Vegas then head out to tour the surrounding national parks etc and ideally don't want to blow all our money on the first day!

This year the Cosmopolitan had an awesome Pop-Up Chapel - I'm not sure if it's still going or if they'll re-open for next spring but it was $495 for a legally binding ceremony and you can rent a silk flower bouquet, add on 30 minutes of photography, etc. for pretty reasonable rates.

It's very quirky but modern and I think looks super fun! Here are some links I found:

I was there over July 4th weekend and it was still open. It's right on the strip too!

There are many officiants who will come to you allowing you to get married wherever you want. Perhaps in front of the Bellagio fountains? Or behind them on the patio if you watch carefully to make sure they're not setting up for someone else's wedding. The patio is open to the public, they just kick people off if they're setting up for a paid wedding.

Thanks for your suggestions. Love the idea of the pop up chapel but I think that it will be closed before we get married!

Vegas groom, yeah I think we're going to consider an iconic location on the strip like that. Any suggestions for places with good views?

A couple I know, got married in the grand canyon. They hopped on a helicopter with the officiant and photographer and flew into the grand canyon and eloped. I think she said all in with flight and hotels and the wedding it was less then $5000 for both of them. Besides Bellagio fountains, Mix Lounge or restaurant at Mandalay would be an option; preferably after dusk when the view gets really incredible. Or a Cosmo wraparound suite balcony if you want to combine location with a great room to start honeymooning in.

You mean aside from checking vegasgroom.com and littlevegaswedding.com?

My favorite way to come up with new ideas is to stalk photographer & event planner blogs ... they are constantly traveling to different venues/locations and finding way to highlight the best features.

Anyway, I would say browse through those till you see afew that you absolutely ADORE, then figure out what they all have in common. Are they all modern venues? desert/park/outdoorsy? old vegas? rustic? find your style and that can start to guide where you end up.

I was married at the pop-up chapel at the Cosmopolitan! It was fantastic!

It's still up on Cosmo's website. It was scheduled to close twice so far this year, but they keep extending it's stay.

If it does close again, it usually opens again around valentines day and was still available for my husband and I to book it at the end of March of this year.

It never hurts to given them a call either. The ladies at the pop-up chapel are great. They're so flexible too. I was able to bring in my own photographer, videographer, flowers and music at no charge.

I have a feeling Cosmo is trying to lease the pop-up chapel space to a store of some sort due to its prime location. It would likely generate them a lot more revenue than wedding ceremonies so booking it might worry me at this point if I was dead set on it and the wedding wasn't happening very soon.
