A Venue for a $5,000 wedding budget!

I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack! We are getting married in our church (they don't have a reception area), and I'm trying to find a good reception hall that isn't going to break my Uncle (who is paying for it), and I'm coming up with nothing. Anyone else get a good deal on a venue? We are getting married in Grove City in February, I wanted to keep everything somewhat close so that in case there is snow, our guests won't have to travel far.

Try Tall Timbers in Reynoldsburg. They have some winter specials and they quoted me around $3,400 for 67 adult guests and 15 children.

Just a warning though, they do have a lot of "nickle and dime" policies so beware. On the upside you can bring in your own alcohol and you get to keep the extra food.

Not sure how many guests you're having (for $5000) but, because you're in February - ask for off season discounts, and be upfront with caterers or facilities right form the start. (We're having _X_ people, and we were need to stay around __X_ per person, - what could we get for that?)

The Ibew is $550 for the whole day. Thats what we just rented.
