  If you find a place to rent a Kraken to release - please let me know! I think this would be a memorable experience for my guests!!
  
  In seriousness I hate the live release of butterflies, doves etc.  Animals shouldn't be a prop in your wedding any more than people.   Essentially killing a bunch of butterflies isn't really the way I'd want to start off MY marriage anyhow. 
  
  What happened to bubbles?  Or if you really MUST release something in the air ... balloons or paper lanterns (even better as you aren't sending plastic off into the air) are a better choice.

  I vote for the swarm of bees.   Your guests will all have red welts of their own to take home and cherish for a few days after your wedding.  Bee stings...most unique favor everrrr!!

  But what about the sacrificial virgin?  You are supposed to offer a virgin to the Kraken.  First you gotta find one and then you have to worry about the pesky gore and blood.  I don't think the Kraken is a good idea.  I kinda like the idea of releasing children but I'm twisted like that.

  Is it bad that the first (and only) thing I thought of when I first saw that graphic was the rum? Haha My fiance and I recently discovered Kraken Black Spiced Rum and it is delicious.
