Mother of the Bride Dresses

I just said yes to the dress over the past weekend and I'm so excited! Now I'm already thinking about finding an amazing dress for my mom and I wanted to know which stores have the most selection. We looked at the Wedding Store already which had a ton of dresses but nothing that she really loved. Thanks for the help!

I can't say enough how much I love East West Bridal in Secaucus.  They have a large selection and my mom found her dress right away.  Group USA in Secaucus or at Jersey Gardens have a decent selection as well.

  • A lot of people have said to skip the bridal shops for mother of the bride dresses and to go to Lord and Taylor or Nordstrom. I actually walked right out of Group USA in Secacus because it was not at all what I expected ( we had finished an appointment in Morristown and it was the only place we could walk in without an appt). East West was a bit better, but still very far off from my taste or my mother's taste. They do have a big selection though!

  • My mom just found her dress this weekend. My wedding is Oct.5. She said from the beginning she didn't want to get a dress from any bridal salons. So I knew we had some time to look around. We ended up getting her's at Bloomingdale's at the Shops at Riverside in Hackensack. The woman who helped was very helpful, without being pushy. She even presaled my mom's dress for her. Other stores we looked at were Nordstroms, Saks, Neiman, and Lord & Taylor. Most of them had a great selection. Good Luck!
