I was home yesterday w/ a migraine, and slept weird (I don't sleep normally pre/post headache. I get stupider too--I run off autopilot and muscle memory; everything is fuzzy).
Around 2 am, I hear Buffy SCREAMING (not completely abnormal, unfortunately) and before I finished waking up, I was standing in her doorway.
I was promptly confused because her door was open (she prefers it closed at night, so we leave it closed). I went into her room and it was empty--except for the dog who was FREAKING OUT.
I still hear screaming and I can't figure out where it's from and I stumble (it didn't occur to me to start turning on lights yet) to the kitchen (for some reason it was in my head she fell down the bsement stairs. she didn't) , which is also empty and into the living room, where Buffy runs up to me, throws herself into my arms and yells "MAMMA, it's DARK IN EVERY ROOM".
I told her that yes, it's the middle of the damn night, it is dark in every room because it's night and we're nto supposed to be up.
I asked her why she was up and why she didn't come into mommy and daddy's room and she looked at me like I was a twit and told me she to rock in the rocking chair with me.
So we rocked and it took like an hour to get my adrenaline back down.
