TENT WEDDING

Hey everyone :)  Going to a reception hall seems so overdone, and pricey. I am looking to cut costs and go for a TENT wedding. I think they can be truly beautiful if done correctly. My question is does anybody know of any outdoor rental space that is "cheap" under $3,000 preferably to use the tent and have my reception? Our wedding will be next fall , so I do not plan on being outside much.  I am not so sure how this works so any information would be so helpful. THANK YOU

Hi Molly! Where are you looking in NJ?  For Northwest NJ, I would recommend checking out:

    - Crossed Keys Inn - Andover (I've heard it's a little pricey but I pass it on a semi-regular basis and the grounds are super pretty - plus they have their own tent on site)
    - Inn at Millrace Pond - Hope (a girl from work got married here last summer and she had the ceremony outside and the reception in a tent)

We're getting married at Rutherfurd Hall in Allamuchy.  It's a historical mansion on a lake - we're having the ceremony by the water (or inside if it rains) and the reception in a tent in the mansion's backyard.  The rental for the site was under 3000 - I want to say it was 2400.  Let me know if you want more info.

    Happy hunting! :)

My FI and I starting to scout venues and I just love the idea of a tent wedding. I tried looking up info on  Rutherfurd Hall in Allamuchy online but can't seem to find much. Who did you contact for info?

  • The contact list is on this page: http://rutherfurdhall.org/contactus/staff.html

I've been working directly with Laurie the entire time and she's been wonderful.
