low budget reception in Grand Rapids MI area

We're looking for a place that is inexpensive in the Grand Rapids MI area. I can't seem to find anything that doesn't fall into the $5,000 range, and we don't want that kind of reception.

Can anyone suggest anything? Please!!

    Did you ever find that inexpensive venue you were looking for? I am also looking to find something

    reasonably priced and also something that will allow us to bring our own catering in if possible.

    Just so you know, this user hasn't been here in over 2 years.  The date under the username is the posting date, which was July of 2011.  Just something to keep in mind in the future!

    That being said, you may have better luck posting in a MI sub-board, as this is one of the international forums.  Here's another thread posted by the same user, the responses may give you some ideas:
