Hi!
My future husband and I are in search for the perfect venue for our wedding. Our ideal venue would be a place we had for the weekend, could bring our own alcohol in, and we could have both the ceremony and reception at the same place. I hope there is a place that exist like this in or around the Pittsburgh area. We are willing to travel an hour either north, east, west or south of the city. We would love something elegant and timeless. Any suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    I'm having mine at Penn Scenic View in Rockwood, Pa. Don't know how far you are willing to travel but its gorgeous and affordable! However only about 120 guest maximum will fit in the lodge for the venue. We are having the ceremony on the "peninsula" on the lake and the reception in the lakeside lodge. I've seen pictures where people do the ceremony in the lodge out on the deck, and reception on those places as well, there I'd also a covered deck out back that I will use for the ceremony if it rains. http://www.pennscenicview.com/

    As for having it for the weekend, the groundskeeper is very flexible, so long as no one else has it booked for the days that your want, you can come on those days to decorate/tear down. However if you were determined to have it for more than one day, the price is so affordable that you could pay to rent it for both/all of those days.And you must bring your own alcohol to this site, as well as your own caterer.     When we started looking for places we looked into Oak Lodge.  I believe you get the property for the weekend.  However our wedding was smaller so we couldn't justify the cost.

    Armstrong Farms in Saxonburg includes the weekend with rehearsal, ceremony and reception options on site.
