Honeymoon Ideas

Our orignal plans for our honeymoon fell through when flights to Cyprus more than doubled!  Can anyone suggest somewhere interesting (within a reasonable budget)...THANKS!

What time of year is your hm & what's your budget?)

    Possible Ideas:
    Tahiti/Fiji/Bora Bora
    Hawaii
Mexico (watch out for hurricane season)
    Carribean (same as above)
Greece (take the ferry and "island hop" to Crete, Santorini, etc - this would be similar climate to Cyprus)
    Spain/Italy/South of France (mediterranean)
Australia? depending on time on year
You could take a more exotic cruise, leaving from Southeast US and cruising through Europe (Portugal, UK, etc)

Not nearly as glamourous as Cyprus but an Alaskan cruise. Leaves from port of Seattle and no lonnnnng flights:)

We're going to Costa Rica, and found an amazing house on VRBO.com .... $600 for 8 days.  Can't wait!

I second the Alaskan Cruise idea...you can't get more IN BUDGET than that. Also, Mexico is REALLY cheap right now, but also dangerous...depends on if you think it's worth the risk.

We're going to Mexico, Cabo San Lucas to be precise. We were toying with something more elaborate, but realized that we already take lots of great vacations (and we go to Cabo every year), we'd rather just be able to relax and spend tons of time together.

We're also using FI's parents' timeshare for 2 weeks, so all we have to pay for is the flight to get us there, and the food while we're there.

Mexico is a huge country, and while I would avoid anywhere near the border as well as Mexico city, places like Cabo are extremely safe. In fact, I feel much safer in Cabo than many parts of the United States.

    Other ideas:
Hawaii (although can be a little pricey)
    Virgin Islands
Greece (we just went to Athens and Crete. It was great, although quite expensive)
    Italy
Other parts of Europe: France, Germany, London
    Colorado
    San Francisco/Los Angeles
    Carribbean
