  Flip-flops aren't comfortable to me, so no.

  I wore a pair of dress flats. A friend of mine wore some flat silver dress sandals.

  It's sort of a 50's style, old timey pin up kinda thing. Polka dots, bright red lipstick, victory rolls. My feet are really wide so finding heels I could fit into was a big issue. I guess I can just got get some wide black flats, but I'm just a little sad about it. I was so excited about those shoes, and now I'm just hoping no one notices below my knees.

  You're allowed to be bummed out! I would just go to your favorite local shoe store and pick out something you like and would wear again, even if they're not your dream shoes. That way you'll have a good memory when you wear them again and you don't have to actually wear flip-flops!

  OP is your dress long?  If so no one will see your shoes whether you have on a $1000 + pair of Christian Louboutin shoes or a $5 super discount clearance pair of flats.  Get a pair of shoes that are first and foremost comfortable because you will be on your feet for hours the day of your wedding and the last thing that you want is for your feet to be hurting.

  What about any of these, then? I just went with the whole "polka dot" thing. A lot of these come in Wide or you can read the reviews to see if they run wide...

  Get the skew and call your local DSW to see if they have it in stock so you can just go pick it up. It might ease your mind rather than waiting for the order to ship.

  I'm wearing a pretty ugly pair of shoes under my dress.  My dress is floor length, no one will notice.  My original shoes caused my feet to go numb at my first fitting (feet sliding forward), so I ended up having to find a new pair with the same height heel in a couple weeks before the second fitting.  The good news is the new, uglier shoes are incredibly comfortable.

  check out Zappos too, they have free shipping on some orders.  I did a search on polka dots, and found this pair:

   I got really hung up on some JC's but in the grand scheme of things, no one will see the shoes unless you show them to people.  I ended up with a sparkly pair of slingbacks for $60 that I can wear again.

  modcloth.com has a lot of cute shoes, including retro and pin-up style.  I've ordered a lot of things from that site (mostly clothes) and they have always been reliable.

  If the photo the seller had was a photo from the designer, you could also do a search by putting the actual image into google to see if the shoes are sold elsewhere.  Or if the shoes showed up on someone's blog, and they're willing to part with them.
