    @SKPM .....oh crap. I bought my BM's the matchy-matchy robes. Ahhhhhh!!!!! In my defense, they were dirt cheap, i used their nicknames instead of formal monograms, and I'm going to use the disclaimer "I know you will never wear these again after today"....does that make it any better??? LOL

    Haha, I don't care in the least what you do with your money. I have to admit that personally, I generally prefer to wear my own clothes, but that's just me. I just can't stand the hype that this kind of stuff gets on Pinterest and the like.

    Yeah but that guy just made that up. Black tie is what it is. There is no casual black tie. That would be cocktail attire or business casual or whatever else they want to call it. Black tie has very specific dress for what it is and what is expected at a black tie event. People like to use it as a way to tell people to dress up, but it is a very specific form of dress.

    I'm sorry. I totally missed the sarcasm. I guess I've gotten too used to people defending dumb stuff with made up articles on the internet, because you know if it's on the internet it must be true. LOL

    No worries. You're right, it's usually (unfortunately) safer to assume that people are truly defending dumb ideas. Exactly why I wasn't surprised in the least to find a definition for "Black Tie Casual."

    Honestly, if I were invited to this wedding and I saw this post by the bride, I'd pull out one of my most expensive & elaborate evenings gowns from when I used to compete in pageants and upstage the shit out of her just because she asked for it. Sorry I'm not a nice girl when people are rude lol
