Re: Guestbook

  • We used our engagement photos to make a guestbook.  We went through our photographer, so the book is professional and high quality.  Guests will sign on and around the photos--kinda like what you would do with a year book.
  • We did a guest book puzzle as well! Got it custom made on etsy- it's the first letter of our last name which is "G" then we are going to have it frames after the wedding!

  • We made a Shutterfly guest book with our photos from our engagement shoot. The custom template was really cool and we're really happy with the end result.

  • We are having people sign a canvas board with our monogram in the middle.
  • I 100% stole this idea from another Knottie.

I'm buying some river stones and some pretty Sharpie markers or paint pens (going to try both out before I select one) and a tall vase.

I'm having friends and family sign as many stones as they want, and then I'm putting them in my vase to keep, so that I can look at it all the time and enjoy it.
  • the river rocks sound really nice! love the photo book ideas it was one of our ideas to :)

  • Those puzzles are so cute!

FI was really picky on the guest book and wanted just a traditional book, but I really don't like them. I like to scrapbook, so we compromised on little cards that the guests could fill out that I'll later use in a scrapbook.
  • Thats such a cute idea!

  • I am having people sign a birthday calendar. Not a 2013 calendar, but a small calendar that you can reuse every year that just has the months and then a list of the days in the month. I'm great and staying on top of the birthdays and this way we will have both sides on one reference calendar.

  • what a cute idea! My sister did jenga pieces that everyone signed.  We are doing a photobooth and having people sign beside their picture.  I can't wait to see it in 15 years and laugh :)

  • My photographer just posted a wedding where the bride had people draw their feet and names onto a marauder's map and now I absolutely have to do that after seeing it.

  • Oh! In addition to our shutterfly guest book, our photo booth will also have a scrapbook of all of the photos, and people sign next to it. So I guess we have 2 guest books.

  • I make unique canvas guestbooks...for ours we are doing a peacock theme so on our canvas is 2 peacockssnd our guests are signing the feathers. Most of our guests will not be in attendance so we mailed "feathers" with the invitation/reply card. Guests send the feathers back signed and get to participate in our special day. The ones that will be here will sign on the feathers the day of the ceremony. Most of the time when I make these it is a wedding couple holding balloons. We love this because it becomes a piece of art in our home instead of a possibly forgotten book.
  • I'm still undecided on this one.  However, a woman my FI plays softball with, said she does chalk painting and has this globe that she has done.  The pedestal is white and the globe black.  She said she would give it to us and the pens and people could sign that.  While I think this is a totally unique idea and love it I have a few concerns.  We are getting married 2.5 hours away from home so getting to and from is an issue and how heavy is it?  She hasn't responded to that yet.

  • My mom has created a quilt, where everyone can sign with fabric markers.   I haven't seen it, but I know she selected fabrics which she felt represent FI and I. (wine, cats, travel, horses, coffee)  It will be a work of art even before the signatures are added.
