I'm still in a bit of disbelief that she's a grandma at 42. 21 hours of labor. Ouch. I have a stack of books to take in October, but I'm thinking about sending some food to the house too.

Added to my nightly prayer, "Please don't make me a grandma at 42 (or younger)."

Everyone is fine and the name is pretty cute but also kind of original.

Sadly, grandparent at 42 is very normal in BFE. I knew gparents in their 30s, NOT from step kids. It's one reason I wanted out (my OB agreed).

Well, it's really not *gasp* worthy if you do math, it just SOUNDS kind of *side-eye*worthy.

Yep, grandmother at 40 right here. Did I want my DD to get pregnant at 17, nope but it happens. Hope your friends daughter steps up and things go ok, I remember some pretty rought stuff you've told about her before.

I told my mom she was welcome a few weeks ago that she didn't become a grandma until she was 57.

I know the math isn't bad, but daughter is 19. I didn't realize babydaddy is 28.

@alikatt17- I used to get a "thanks for not being a mom" gift from my mom.

My mom is just trying to be a grandma before she turns 70. Ha. I'm on the opposite side of the street.
