Wedding Invitations & Paper

Table Numbers, Place Cards ect.

My wedding is in about 5 weeks and I would like to do my own place cards and table numbers to save. My wedding is Steelers themed. I wanted to number and name the tables football players of the Steelers. I found some stuff on Etsy but it is quite expensive. Does anyone have any ideas? Are there any templates out there.

Re: Table Numbers, Place Cards ect.

  • Ok, so I will try to ignore the fact you are a Steelers (die hard Ravens fan and got married at their stadium) fan and answer your questions...

We did football player names and used their jersey numbers. We then made a table chart and made sure to have the room laid out to match our table chart so that it would easy for our guests to find their seats.  So in our case we had a large rectangular area for tables (a bar separated dining area and dance floor and there was lounge seating on either side of the bar area) and we did 2 tables at the front and then front switched off between 2 and 3 tables in each row.

Here is a pic of our table numbers and table chart.

  • Oh and to make our table numbers I just printed out the names on cardstock, ordered wooden numbers from a website I found, bought cheap wooden frames at Michaels and then painted everything in our wedding colors.

  • besides the fact that its the ravens (I cringed a little). We had our e-session at Heinz Field!

But, your numbers and everything look amazing.
  • Maggie's are super cute! Our place cards were business cards that I ordered from vistaprint. You can add an image so maybe you could add something steelers or just make then black and yellow fonts.

  • I was at Heinz field when the new stadium was built.  Went and saw NSYNC play there so I bet you got some awesome shots.  My sister actually had her reception at Pirates Stadium which was really cool.

  • I'm incorporating a bunch of Steelers stuff in our wedding too!  Here is a picture of the table numbers I want to make.  Not sure how I'm going to do it though.  Our wedding isn't until Feb 1st so I still have a few months to figure it out!
  • @akosakow - those are cute.  Maybe check on Etsy.  I had wanted to do something like that as well but I didn't know about Etsy way back in 2011 and I just didn't have time nor the energy to design it.

  • @maggie0829 thanks!  If I can't figure out a way to make them, I'll definitely have to check out etsy.
  • Damnit, my team sucks.

    Who is your team?

  • Maggie - do you remember where you got those wooden #s?
  • @maggie0829 where did you find the numbers?!
  • @lmpk2387 - I got them off of some website I found when I was googling for wooden numbers, but I can't remember what it was called.bvBut I bet if you do an Etsy search (which I don't think was around or if it was, wasn't that popular when I got married) you could find something on there.
