NER: photos

Does anyone have a suggestion on a place or website where I can order a photo album (with pictures printed on pages) and/or prints of good quality and low expense?  I havent printed pictures in years, so for all i know walmart has good quality.

TIA

  • Shutterfly
  • I used MyPublisher.com and the quality was great!
  • I second shutterfly. We made albums for our mothers for Christmas, and they both loved how beautiful they were. Plus, lots of customization options.
  • Subscribe to sites like Groupon, Teambuy, Dealfind etc. They have good coupons for this on a regular basis. That would save a lot of $$.

Shutterfly albums are always on there.

  • Shutterfly is good. I don't know about the quality, but Kodak, Vistaprint, and Walgreens all offer photo books as well.

  • Mypublisher.com blows shutterfly away! I've ordered books from both and the My Publisher one was wayyy  better. They have lots of coupon codes if you sign up for emails.

For prints, mpix.com is a hands down winner. They print on professional quality photo paper - liek the kind that our school photos would be printed on.
  • At the recommendation of our photographer, we ordered our prints and photo albums from Adoramapix.com. We really wanted an affordable, DIY flush-mount album with a professional look and OMG we love our album! Their customer service was absolutely amazing (a 30% off coupon popped up 2 days after we ordered our album + 3 parent albums and they credited our account as soon as we asked!) We did 10x10, 38-page albums for our parents and a 12x12, 54 page album for our own wedding album. We got all 4 albums under $300, which sounds a bit pricey, but the album is definitely more of a professional grade than a snapfish/shutterfly album. Their site was really used friendly and had a lot of customizing options. I am NOT at all very tech-savvy and I didn't find the site too hard to use. Here's the link, if you're interested in what we did:

Sidenote: There's nothing at all wrong with Snapfish and Shutterfly, I just wanted something with a bit more of a pro look. Good luck!

  • We haven't made our wedding album yet, but we use Shutterfly all the time and the quality is great.

Also, MyPublisher was bought by Shutterfly in July so the quality is probably comparable.  If you're looking to order by 9/16 PM me.  I have a MyPublisher code that they just sent me for a free 8x11, but I won't have my pictures back in time to use the promo.
  • Register with shutterfly.com and wait for the free scrapbooks. I think one ended yesterday for a free 20 page 8"x8" scrapbook. They come like 2-3 times a year. Otherwise, they always have coupons for 20-40% off or free prints. Shipping does apply though.

  • We make at least two photo books for us a year on Shutterfly and also use them for Christmas parents for our families.  I've never had a problem with them.
