What's up for the weekend?

Tomorrow we have soccer at 9.  FIL is coming over after because "they have more gifts for 6let than he should get in front of everybody."  I don't know what this means and I'm a little scared.  I need to do some party prep.

Sunday is 6let's FIFTH birthday party!!!  Let the football theme begin.

    We have no big plans.  I'm hoping to clean out DefConn's room/clothes and figure out what we need to buy him for cooler weather. 

    Sunday we're going to my IL's to watch football.  Monday, DH leaves for CT for most of next week.  He'll be back on Thurs.

    It's Yom Kippur tonight/tomorrow. Tomorrow afternoon we're going to take FatCat to my ILs' so he can enjoy their yard (we're giving him as much outside time as he wants and that we can give while we can). We'll also be "breaking the fast" with friends of my ILs.

    Sunday we're trying to get a mini-decompression from Burning Man going with our NY/NJ camp mates.

    Tonight will be cleaning and getting ready for the weekend.  I would like to ride to the library and then have a quiet evening. 

    Tomorrow I'd love to run (the weather is greatly improved over even 2 days ago) and then apparently H needs help on a few things so I'll give him a hand.

    Other than that...nothing really.  I really need to get my butt in gear and get the house in order because I've been lazy lately.

    I don't know how people with children do it....I'm sooooo lazy.

    Tonight we're renting Star Trek and maybe Oblivion.  Relax a little, maybe get a headstart on the laundry.

    Tomorrow we have a birthday BBQ.  Sunday we're double booked with a hike and an open mike type event.  We're just going to decide which one we want to go to at the last minute.  The weather is supposed to be lovely and the hike sounds really nice.  I don't think we can swing both, unfortunately.

    And the same house cleaning, laundry, paperwork stuff, batch cooking my life has consisted of lately.  And a run/bike ride somewhere.  I know I put myself out there to get more involved and more friends and more social activities, but sometimes I miss the lazy, sit on butt w/out having to skip anything, days.

    Other than DH having Daddy Bootcamp tomorrow morning, it's a pretty laid back weekend for us.  Finally.  We haven't had a real weekend "off" from stuff in months.  Trying to get some stuff orgnaized and cleaned, and the cars must be scrubbed before we install the carseat stuff.

    no plans right now. I think DK wants to start brewing his 2nd beer this weekend. I'm working on conditioning my riesling, and hopefully will be ready to bottle on Saturday or Sunday. I did a taste test last night, and it's a bit too dry, but will sweeten with the conditioning.

    I want to go out somewhere and do something, but no real idea what. We sat around the house for most of last weekend, so it would be nice to get out.

    HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY, 6LET!   Man, how time flies!!!

    We have out of town guests coming for the weekend (talked about this on FB - I'm not too pleased about it).  DD and I are going to my cousins 30th bday party on Saturday night.  I'm trying to come up with a gift for a 30y.o. single guy that is funny and clever.  I've got nothing.   Suggestions welcome!

    We may possibly go apple picking this weekend, too, but DD has a special "back to school" cold so we'll have to see how she feels.

    Not completely sure...

    Now that our upper kitchen cabinets have been fully installed, we'll probably start putting in the shelf paper and putting some stuff back in the kitchen. DH has a collaborator he's going to meet with on Sat. May take DD shopping with me or just let her run around Monkey Joes for a while. Birthday party on Sunday.

    Oh and one other challenge. Figuring out how to get a NM based wine not readily distributed in TN back to TN without physically going to NM to pick it up. Stupid TN liquor laws!

    @dharmabunny As long as it's in a box that isn't labeled wine, it can operate on a "don't ask don't tell" principle.  We've done that at least 3 times now.  Also, you might see if any local liquor vendors will bring it in for you and what they'd charge.

    He's really turning into a KID.  He's got a personality and is trying to tell knock knock jokes.  FIL says he "has a heart of gold."  It's a pretty accurate description.  He's even got his first loose tooth!

    I am NOT ready for the loose tooth thing.  That truly means he's a KID.  Can I keep mine as a toddler forever???

    Seriously!  The dental hygienist was all "did you know this?"  Um, no.  The one next to it is loose too.

    He is too cute. And I can't believe he's 5. How is that possible?

    Tonight will be a pizza night. Baby A is wearing me out today, especially with the potty training thing. He's doing really well and hasn't had an accident in over a week, but he's tough about it sometimes. Also, the fact that he's almost 3 and likes to test the limits when it comes to not listening to us.

    Tomorrow, spin in the morning and hanging with the kids all day while DH is at a hacker event.

    Sunday I have a baby shower for a friend.
