    I think it's sad that she felt pressure to have to do that to get ahead, and I know it happens everyday to many different races of people. This is America, yo and people don't look the same.

    It totally explains the nose job.  There is a "white" standard of beauty and she didn't have a nose (slim, small) that fit that model.  Trust me, she redid her whole face to look more perfect white standard (not many white women really hit the standards w/out plastic surgery either).

    sigh.

    it's not really about "whiteness." if it was, she should have really used whitening creams because she is way darker than she was before the surgery.

    I didn't even think about the color of her skin, Hmo.  I was talking about changing the shape of your facial features to conform to another standard of attractiveness.
