What are you doing the day after?

What are you planning to do the day after the wedding?

I'm trying to decide on something for just me and the FI during the day. Idea so far is to sleep in, breakfast in bed and possibly explore Fremont St and have lunch. I def want to do something low-key and just the two of us.

Re: What are you doing the day after?

  • We are torn, we want to spend some time alone, but so many are traveling we might do brunch at the hotel.
We had our dream wedding at Mirage on May 3, 2014!

  • We figured that with so many guests it wouldn't really be feasible to spend that time alone, we are staying an extra day after everyone else flies home, so that it can just be us and we don't have to worry about everyone else.
  • Ugh - I can tell you we did too much! Group brunch at the Wynn (nearly everyone was too hungover to eat!), plus had to clean up the wedding party suite, return a rental car and the rental glasses before the brunch, on like 2 hours of sleep.

Things got better after that afternoon though, had a nap and maitais by the pool, wandered around the Strip later that night and the next day had an intimate dinner at Guy Savoy.

But that morning...felt like garbage warmed over! Haha. :(

  • Cabana! We rented it for the day and told everybody we'd be there if they want to swing by. No plans, just sunshine and leftover booze!
Then Monday we'll do brunch at Hash House a Go Go and a Trash the Dress session with our photographer, and Tuesday we head home.
  • I figured we do a thank you brunch. Aka we'll be at belliago buffet at like 10. The pic review then go with the flow. The day after that we are being rude and making that our honeymoon so just the two of us no peeps
  • We are sleeping in, having breakfast, Have some pool time and maybe a couples massage :)

We talked about going to the grand canyon and opt'd out of it in the end!

  • Enjoying a nice sleep in whilst the grandparents entertain our daughter, a lazy brunch then I think the plan is for everyone to spend the rest of the day by the pool.

We don't get a lot of time with our guests in Vegas and we don't live in the same country as the majority of them at the moment so we want to see them as much as possible :)
  • We were going to do a 'trash the dress' session - put on our wedding clothes and go take photos on the NY rollercoaster and the rides atop Stratosphere, around Fremont street, the mob museum, etc. But all this talk of cabanas, lazy brunch's, and pool time makes me think that's what we should do the day after the wedding, and the trash the dress photos can come the day after that!

  • We are thinking about renting a cabana as well. Not sure on the price though...it will depend on that.
  • We will be sleeping in, ordering breakfast in bed, having a couples massage, and then an intimate dinner at Nobu.
  • We will be sleeping in. Definitely room service brunch then having day after wedding photos with Julie Bergonz from 4 -6 followed by our first very romantic in suite dinner as husband and wife.

  • I know we have all OOT guests so we are taking a few days off after, spending the weekend with the guest and Monday and Tuesday is for us before back to a regular work week. Our honeymoon wont be for a month after the wedding so we can go on a cruise.

    Good luck

  • great thread ladies- I was thinking about going to the neon museum late afternoon the day after, will definitely be booking a cabana for the day - love that idea!
  •  Loving these ideas!

Most of our guests are leaving on the Monday (ceremony on Sat) so we'll still beable to see everyone Sunday night for one last hurrah.
