Hello all!
My fiance' and I met while working in the City of Detroit. Even though we now live and work in Chicago, we would really love to have our wedding in the city that means so much to us.
We are looking to have an intimate wedding (70 people or less) sometime next fall. We love the look of the Scarab Club, but have received no response to our repeated attempts to contact someone. Ideally, we would love something in that vein; historic without being too ornate and/or industrial without being too grungy. We also have a special place in our hearts for Southwest Detroit.
We have done extensive research online as to venue suggestions in Detroit proper, and besides the Scarab Club, nothing is feeling like a right fit for us. Is there something that we might be missing? Any suggestions would be so greatly appreciated. We really would love to get married in the D proper, but want to make sure the venue is a right fit for who we are as a couple.
