Wedding After Party - Downtown / River North

Hi Ladies,

Does anyone have suggestions on bar locations downtown or in the River North area to have an after party? My wedding is ending at 1130pm and we wanted to find a bar that people could go to and not wait in line.

We'd also love to find a place that wouldn't lock us into a contract with a crazy min of spend.

Any ideas?

</div><div>Thanks for the suggestion, but that would only really give people an hour... and it's VERY pricey. </div><div>

  • Most bars in River North that are open late are either really expensive or really divey.

We just went to the bar in our hotel, and they kept it open later for us since people were still there and buying drinks. Obviously we avoided lines this way too. And everyone could stumble up to their rooms easily.

  • Sometimes I wish we would have decided on a hotel, but we didn't. Thanks for your input. I live in River North and I know the lines can be really long.... so I was hoping that another bride might have found a bar that allowed her the back room or something for guests to arrive and not wait in line.

I'm still working with Moe's, Fado, & Stout currently. We shall see.
  • 10pin, Howl at the Moon, upstairs at o'callaghans, mother Hubbard's. These are cheaper options, maybe not the vibe you're looking for though.
  • Did you ever end up finding anything?  Saw your post was from September 2012.  I am getting married soon and am trying to do the same thing in River North for after the reception.
