  It depends on the state I would check you local laws. For example in Wisconsin if you live in state you can get the marriage liscense in your home county, but if you are from out of state it must be in the county you are marrying. I would call you local courthouse to check.

  Check with the county you're getting married in.  We had to get it in the county where we reside, not the county we are marrying in.

  You need to check your local laws - the requirements vary by state/county.
