Downtown Indianapolis Wedding Venues

Anyone have any unique wedding venue ideas for downtown indianapolis? We want to get married outside and have an indoor reception. They do not have to be in the same location.

    The IMA is also a great place for weddings.  And the inside of the new public library is gorgeous!  I don't know about an outdoor space for there, but it'd be worth checking into.  GL!

    Indiana Historical Society and the Indiana State Museum are both on the Canal and do indoor/outdoor events.

    Military Park and the White River State Park might also be worth looking into.

    The Indiana State House does events, too.

    I'm getting married and having our reception at the Indiana Landmarks Center at 12th and Central. It's currently being renovated but will be finished in April 2011.

    It's really unique and will be gorgeous after the restoration is complete. The staff has been great to work with as well.

    We are getting married next summer at the Central Library downtown.  There is a garden for the ceremony that is beautiful in the summer and the atrium for a reception.  Check it out online!  We have been working with them and they are fabulous :)

    We are having our reception at the Columbia Club on the circle. It's gorgeous and romantic. Plus the circle offers great picture oppurtunities. You don't have to be a member to have it there.

    We are getting married at the White River Gardens at the Indianapolis Zoo. The gardens are beautiful and you can have the reception in the Hulman River House which has an awesome view of the city or you can use the underwater dolphin pavillion. The prices are decent considering the amount of space you have and everyone has been amazing to work with so far. Good Luck!

    narutigl-  We are very interested in having our wedding and reception at the Columbia Club.  Did they have food and beverage minimums?  Did you find them reasonable?  I hope you dont mind me asking!  Thanks!

    Jones crossing banquet center in Camby, IN is just 10 minutes south of indianapolis. They have a beautiful outdoor courtyard with an indoor facility for the reception. The courtyard features a large waterfall and real palm trees. The indoor facility is a one of a kind with special lighting and offers everything from bar services to cakes to center pieces.

    That may be true, but that is not downtown. The Eiteljorg and the Mavris also have outdoor options.

    Propylaeum has out door ceremony options and is on the edge of downtown.
