Cleopatra's Barge

Our reception is set for the Jupiter Pool at Caesars Palace and goes from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm.  We are now trying to figure out the best location to carry on the celebrations after the reception for any guests that would like to join us.  We though about Pure but it is expensive and we don't think it would be a venue that our guests would feel comfortable in.  A few years ago my brother and I went to Cleopatra's Barge and had a lot of fun.  It's kind of cheesy but it is close the our venue and we think our guests would have a great here.  Does anybody have any experiences here?  Is it usually pretty busy?

Re: Cleopatra's Barge

  • I've been a few times and have always had fun.  They do charge an entertainment tax on the drinks, but I think most lounge type places with live music do that.  Do you have a coordinator at Caesars?  I wonder if they would be able let you reserve some tables there?
We had our dream wedding at Mirage on May 3, 2014!

  • Margaritaville is an easy walk across the street from Caesars; the upstairs balcony is fun later in the evening watching the drunk people below. :-)

  • Thanks for the advice.  They have given us an option to buy bottle service in order to reserve the tables but I didn't want to reserve tables if it isn't busy enough.  @vegasgroom I LOVE Margaritaville so we may have to go there too!
  • @j9lawrence, can I ask who you arranged your reception through, I am getting married at the Juno garden in caesars and I emailed citywide catering to enquire about having my reception at the Jupiter pool but they have never got back to me!!!
  • @Lyndseyj1 I worked with Jaime Bise (jforbes@caesarspalace.com) to set up our date, time and contract aggreement.  Once that has been signed then she handed me over to a catering manager which is who I have been working on with the food and drink prices.  Try giving her an e-mail as she was usually pretty quick to respond with me.  Good luck with the planning and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

  • Thanks @j9lawrence I'll contact Jaime. What month are you getting married? I'm August, so I need to work out if it will be too hot to have the reception outdoors.
  • We are getting married on October 12, 2013, so it is coming fast!
  • I'm curious how you went about organizing your reception at Jupiter's Pool. We are having our ceremony at Caesar's Palace Juno Garden and I never even considered having our  reception poolside (as I didn't realize this was an option!). Where can I find more information about Jupiter Pool receptions?
  • I worked with Jaime Bise (jforbes@caesarspalace.com) to get all the information and set up the contract.  Then she will set you up with a catering manager who will work with you closer to the date of your wedding.  Jupiter Pool is nice and close to Juno Garden and we thought it would be a really fun, unique venue.  The only thing is, they can not accomdate a sit down dinner so we are doing food stations and passed appies.  Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions!
