This is my review of my vendors from my wedding on 09/07/2013
Fit for a Bride- A
So I contacted Debi about 2 weeks before heading to Vegas and I got a quote to have my dress picked up and dropped off with me for $140. I was going to book but I thought I would call the Flamingo (where we stayed) bell desk and ask them what they recommended. They said they work directly with Debi and they would find out the price. They got back to me and said it would be $100. SO the evening that I got in I took my dress and veil in my garment bag to the bell desk and paid the $100 cash. 2 days later at about 6pm the bell desk called my room and said that my dress was back. We were heading out to my bachelorette party. SO they said to call them when I got back and they would deliver my dress to my room. So later that evening it was delivered in a pink non see-thru bag. It was perfect.
Desert Glamour Hair & Makeup- A++
Whitney was in charge of the hair and who I was in contact with before the day of. I don't remember the name of the lady that did the makeup. She always quick to respond to my emails. Her prices were great and she worked great with me and my changing party size. She asked for inspiration pictures of hair and makeup for myself about a week before the wedding. The 2 ladies showed up to my room right on time and got set up within 5-10 minutes. Whitney started on 1 of my girls hair and they started on my face makeup. She only did my face at that point until my photographer got there to get the rest of the makeup.( The important part) One of my bridesmaids was being a total bridesmaid-zilla and kept asking Whitney to change her daughters hair(jr. bridesmaid). Whitney was very sweet and went ahead and changed the whole style 3 times. I apologized to her about a million times. She even offered to me to not have her pay for the jr bm if she was not completely satisfied. The 3rd style was the one tho, thank god, and everyone looked great. They were gone in a few short hours.
GlamImage Photography- Rowena- A++++++
I can't say enough good stuff about Rowena. She showed up right on time to my hotel room with her daughter, who is learning to photograph. She was very warm and personable. She made herself right at home in the room. And got right to it. I was still doing my face makeup. SO she went straight into the bedroom and set my dress up against the bed headboard. Set the bridesmaid dresses on matching hangers. Got the rings. The garter. My jewelry. All the small details. Then it was time to finish my hair and she came back and got all the shots. She was everywhere. A couple of my bridesmaids did their own hair and makeup and she got all that. She got all the excitement going on the room. She came to the ceremony and got great shots. Then onto the dinner at PJ Clarke's. We walked to the forum shops for dinner and she was with us every step. She would run in front and get great shots of the group. And as soon in t the restaurant she got to the details again. And the whole night she would come out of nowhere it seemed and would get pictures of us with all the guests. After dinner we got on the DDB and she had a blast and was again getting pictures of everything and everyone. We stopped at Fremont Street and danced to a band for about 45 minutes and again she got everything. Then back on the bus and we stopped at The LV sign. And then back to the FLamingo where we finished. I can't say enough good things about her. She was so good that I still have a ton of guests saying how great and sweet she was. They said she was in the mix of everything we did and she got great shots. 2 days after the wedding she sent us an email with a preview of the pictures. AMAZING!!!! I can't wait to get the final pictures. I'm gonna attach the link to our preview.
Flamingo Gazebo Chapel- A++
The girls that I worked with at the Flamingo were great. I worked with Homeira working up to the day of. SHe was always quick to respond to emails. The day of the wedding they made sure my hubby was hidden and I walked into the chapel. My girls came with me. They have bobby pins, safety pins, mints, and hairspray in the bridal room. The Rev. (I don't remember his name) was awesome also. He came into the room and checked with me what I wanted as far as who to hold the rings, my MOH name, who was walking me in. My step dad came in and started walking me in. My mom met us half way down. They both walking me up. The Ceremony was fast and beautiful. The Rev. made the ceremony very personal without knowing us.
ImagineStudios Photography- C
ImagineStudios came with the ceremony package at Flamingo. We only had her for 30 minutes. The ceremony was about 15 so after that only about another 15 to do family pictures. I don't remember the name of the girl that we had, but she was not very nice. I understand that we were on a strict timeframe but she was very pushy and never cracked a smile. I'm glad I didn't book her for extra time. I wish I would have not booked the photography through the Flamingo at all. We got all the pictures 2 days later. They are not the best quality and are just ok.
PJ Clarke's in The Forum Shops- A++++++
I spoke with Sabrina from PJ Clarke's and she was great to speak with and was quick with responses. I loved that she responded a lot of times with "Whatever you want. We are here for you." They had the best pricing for what we wanted. And were very flexible with bar options. My husband and I went in the day before the wedding just to meet her in person and see the room. Sabrina met us and walked us through everything. She made sure all of our questions were answered before we left. She then offered to get us each a drink. We each ordered a beer. ANd she convinced us to stay for lunch since we had never eaten there. My husband got the fish and chips and I got a burger. AMAZING!!! We were soo happy at that point that were serving our guests this food. The bill came for lunch and she had taken care of it all. It must have been $50 lunch. We left a nice tip for our server and were on our way. We ended up going with a sit down dinner for the wedding. We choose 3 options and everyone ordered the night of. We got great comments about the food. The private sidecar is very nice and personal. We sat in the private booth "The Frank Sinatra Booth" Very romantic. We brought in all our own decorations for the tables. We were allowed to have an open flame also. Sabrina was there the night of our wedding and quick to make sure everything was perfect and very in the mix, which I loved. We were able to leave our decorations and card box till the next morning since we were leaving straight to get on the DDB.
DDB- Doris and Jay- A+++++++++
The DDB picked us up after dinner outside of the forum shops. They showed up about 10 minutes late and I was freaking out because I only booked the bus for 3 hours. SO we all got on and grabbed a beer (that we provided) and got a seat. My husband and I passed out personalized koozies for everyone and glow stick necklaces and bracelets. And we were given the rules, only standing when the bus is stopped, pass the empties to the front to be discarded and ask for refill of drinks to be passed back. At this point we set up a phone to plug in for music and we were on our way. Initially we were gonna go to the LV sign and then to Fremont St but since they were a little late I figured we would just go to Fremont St. We went down the strip and people were honking and yelling and cheering for us. It was super fun. SO we went straight there and told everyone we would get off here and hang out for about 45 minutes then back onto the bus. On the way to Fremont St we would all yell "RED LIGHT" at any red and the whole bus would stand up and dance and sit back down on green. So by the time we got to Fremont no one wanted to get off, but we did. We got off and found a band playing and danced for about 45 minutes. Back on the bus we all went and Doris asked me if I still wanted to go to the LV sign. I said I had wanted to but I don't think we would have enough time and she said it was ok. SHe told us that we were the funnest group she has ever had. SHe went straight down the strip to the LV sign. Again everyone was cheering and honking for us. We went tothe LV sign and got out and took pictures and hung out for a bit. Then as everyone was heading back on the bus to leave Doris pulled my husband and myself to the side and said that she loved us and our group. There was a women at the LV sign selling palm leaves shaped like things. Doris bought us one that was shaped like a heart with a rose. SHe gave it to us and said that it would last forever if we sprayed it with hairspray. SHe gave us a million hugs. Then we left and she stopped at a gas station for a potty break. A few got off and went potty. When we got back on Doris was on top dancing by herself. So I went and danced with her and stayed parked there for about 30 minutes us dancing and doing what we wanted. Then we went back to the Flamingo where everyone got off. At this point you wee able to tip them, and almost all of our guests, without knowing, tipped Doris and Jay. I know they made out very well after our group. Everyone was talking about Doris and the bus, still to this day. All of our guests have already said that we need to do this again for our anniversary. If we do, we will have to request Doris and Jay. They were the best.
