Valley of Fire dress dilemma!

We have just confirmed our wedding in the valley of fire in July 2014. I have a dilemma as I am not sure what kind of dress to go for in the heat! I had already chosen my dress thinking we were getting married in the UK but now that we've changed our minds and decided to go abroad I'm not sure what to do! Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?

Something light sounds right but at 4PM it won't be as bad as during the earlier hours. I would talk to the coordinator at the place where you booked. I'm getting married in nov where it will be cooler and she was able to give my suggestions.

That's a great idea, when I saw the temperatures I started to have a bit of a panic! Are you getting married this nov?

My wedding was in July outside at 7pm..it was about 105 out. This is the dress I wore and it was great...I didn't feel too hot in it.

I got married outside in July this year at 3 pm, it was around 112. I wore a knee length dress from Coast. That was the style I wanted; something not too formal and would travel easily. I did however wear several maxi dresses whilst I was in Vegas so I do think a long dress would also be ok in the heat. That being said I did appreciate having my legs free with nothing too restrictive. If you've set your heart on a dress I'd go with it. Have you already bought your dress or do you just have a style in mind?

I've chosen my dress and started to pay towards it but the shop have said that now we have decided to go to vegas I can change it if I need/want to! I have seen some lovely wedding style dresses in Coast and I know the shop that I've got me dress with have chiffon material destination dresses, so I guess I may go and try mine on again and try a few different ones at the same time.
