Newbie <3 Planning a Las Vegas wedding whilst travelling the world!! Please Help x

Hello, I am from the UK! My fiancé and I have booked to get married at The Flamingo Hotel on The West Lawn, on May 15th 2014! We are currently traveling around and our last stop is Las Vegas!
I have brought my wedding dress etc and sorted grooms suit etc! We aren't definate on numbers but somewhere between 12 and 30! Our theme is vintage & jazz! My engagement ring is antique 1920's and my wedding dress kinda fits that era! This is why I picked The West Lawn because it's pretty & reminds me of home! But (and this is where I need help!!) I can't find a venue for a reception dinner, I am planning whilst travelling and have an iPad! We would like to try & keep to the theme but are still open minded! I LOVE The Cafe at the Bellagio and have emailed them but had no reply! We don't want nothing too grand but still special! The only thing we don't want is Italian, as my sister inlaw got married in Italy so we would like something different! (even though the Venetian is our favourite hotel, ha!!)
Any help would be appriciated or even kind words of encouragement haha!!! Xxx

  • Welcome to the board!

Do you have a preference on it being walking distance from Flamingo or are you okay with transportation being needed?

  • Welcome Debbie

Im a Flamingo Bride too! Just wanted to let you know that the West Lawn is adorable however it is set in a very public place so depending on the time of your wedding you will probably have public onlookers. Some brides dont mind but just thought I would let you know cos the pictures on their website dont show that its set on the side of a walkway between the pool and the hotel.

Vegas is awesome for the Vintage theme. Thats my inspiration too. Except im going a bit more 60's than 20's. With a group of 12 to 30 you could have your reception practically anywhere depending on your budget and preferred type of cuisine.

  • Im having my reception lunch at café bellagio. They have a private room for 35 peeps. As for the lack of response might be the email. I had that issue you could call or just email some people at other restaurants. I had no problems with response s once I got a hold of someone. Look up april short shes awesome
  • Welcome Debbie, I'm also a UK bride! Although still in the UK unlike you, where have you been travelling so far? What do you have planned between now and May?

If you don't mind off strip for your reception how about Artisan Hotel (http://artisanhotel.com/eventbookings/)? I love the decor of that place!

I agree with previous poster though, if you really love cafe bellagio keep trying with getting in touch with them :)

Good luck with the rest of your planning!
