Reception at Wynn?

Hi All --

My fiancé and I are zeroing in on the Wynn for our wedding in late 2014. We'll have about 50-60 guests and want to do an evening ceremony at the Primrose Courtyard -- it looks amazing -- followed by a cocktail hour, dinner and after party at a bar for the younger crowd. We're going with the traditional elements of photography (at ceremony and reception, but no posed pic series around the casino), toasts, speeches and cake cutting. Nontraditionally, we are sans bridal party, and will be skipping (controversy ahead!) the bouquet / garter toss, first dances, and dance floor. There will be dancing at the after party for those wanting to partake!

We are thinking it would be easiest to stay on site after the ceremony. We are curious about private dining at a Wynn restaurant, but are also interested in other on site event space that may work for a party our size. Any recommendations or suggestions?

My one recommendation would be to investigate photography carefully if you're setting up the reception through the Wynn. They may try to force you to use their photography for the reception as well, which you likely won't want. They have a $700 opt-out fee to use your own photographer.

Thanks, girls, for your posts. I've read about the fees for outside photographers, and it is good to keep in mind! We'll likely work with the hotel's photog, just to keep things easy. Your site is so neat, Boba! I would love to see your photos and will send a login request. It is always nice to see some pictures of event space to get a better sense of the venue -- and to gush over others' weddings, too! I am interested in Lakeside and have a message in to them for more details on private dining. If I may ask, were you able to contract private space, or did you have to do a full buyout of the restaurant? Did you feel you had sufficient time and access before and during the ceremony in the ceremony space? I've heard they are on the wedding-every-hour loop, like most LV options, I am sure, but was curious if you or others who have married at the Wynn felt rushed at any time? Thanks!

Good luck finding a venue. I love the Wynn! It's so pretty. We are having our reception at the Wynn Buffet which only seats 40 in their private room.

We had about 60 people in one of the ballrooms. We thought about renting out a restaurant but felt the ballroom had more space and more area for dancing. Any way you go you will be happy with the Wynn!

Thanks for your post. The ballroom space looks nice! We had talked about going that route and I still want to obtain a quote. Since we're nixing dancing/ dj, we thought we might not need the space a ballroom would provide. I do wonder, cost- wise, if there is a big difference between doing cocktails and dinner in a ballroom vs. cocktails and dinner at a restaurant on site ( or two, as it appears some choose a smaller space for drinks before a more traditional dinner at a private room.) I pan on doing one or two recon visits before booking, but more info from you girls who have already had amazing weddings or are planning them is extremely helpful!

Hi, we've jumped from Bellagio to Four Seasons,, and now we're looking at Wynn for the ceremony and the reception. We're in the same boat as you 50-60 people, cocktail hour, dinner and after party at a bar for the younger crowd (looking at bottle service at TAO or XS).

The girls at the Wynn have been so lovely... so we're looking at the Primrose for the ceremony, then cocktails inside the wedding salons, then reception out on Primrose again. This way we're hoping we can just reuse all the decor, and we wouldn't need to purchase a dancefloor, because the whole courtyard is one

Hi Jixxt, are they letting you rent Primrose for your reception. I was told it is too small. Also, what made you go from Bellagio to Wynn because I am in the midst of the same thing.

Hi Jodianne222, yep, they quoted me $1500 every hour to rent Primrose for the reception. We've decided not to go ahead with Primrose though as they has restrictions on it. They will only allow a cocktail reception, and max was 75 guests. We had to ditch it as we have lots of oldies that will need seats.

We were tossing up between Bellagio - Monet Room and Four Seasons, Mesquite Room. We ended up going w/ Four Seasons purely because the service from them were better. We are from Australia, so good communication is essential for me to keep sane!! I have info from all three hotels that I can email you if you like!

sorry, i should say we're ditching Primrose for the reception, and hoping to have it in an Encore or Wynn Ballroom (If anyone has pics of these room I've love if you could share

) We're staying with Primrose for the ceremony though.

Thanks Jixxt. I too, am trying to find pictures of the Wynn ballrooms and have been unable too. If anybody has them please send my way as well. I am leaning towards reception and ceremony at the Wynn.
