wedding program question

in African American Weddings

Ok so I am starting to put the program together..I wanted to know do we really need to have some one sing or read a scripture? would it feel like something is missing?

would it look weird if we just had the grandparents and parent walk in and then start the bridal processional?

Like I really dont feel like looking for anyone ..plus that is another body that I got to feed.. and I am really just trying to get married..

like I understand people need enterainment but I feel like I dont want the ceremony to be long... what to do ..

    *sigh* here come this wordy ass heffa.   promised tash I'd get better at keeping it short.  I just came in here to gigglehug you at the bolded and add that as a wedding guest I don't want to be entertained, I wanna see ya'll do the do, jump that broom then let's have some cake.   I realize everybody's mileage may vary though.

    Me personally, as a guest I like it short and sweet too. I think that would be totally alright. And hey, I feel you on not wanting to find an extra person. So I say do what you do girl. It will be just fine

    yall are right ( @raven&mark @sultryzulu and @misstira)  I dont got time for people to be singing.. it might be hot outside and I am not trying to sweat out my face that on that day will be beat to the gawds!.. I will keep you posted on what I decide to do..also @misstira... go on and get your dress because I am sure the mister will be all for adding another person to the wedding..lol

    I didn't have any of that.  Preacher was the only one that "talked" and we did our responses to the vows and stuff.  No singers.  No readers.  None of that!  And I liked it just like that too.  Do what is best for you.  There is no right or wrong way.
