How to address Save the Dates....

Hi Ladies,

Looking for some help...I am in the process of preparing my save the dates to be mailed to my guests.  I am not sure, in some situations, how to address the labels.  For instance the guests who are receiving a plus one or a guest should they say, John Smith and Guest or John Smith and Jane Doe?  Or should they just say the name of the person we are inviting and then when we send out the formal invites indicate who will be invited?  My fiance has many friends and some of them have long term girlfriends and some of them have girl friends of just a few months so i was wondering how to write those as well.  HELP!

I know that sounds a bit confusing and I am confused myself! Any help you could give me would be great! Thank you so much!

  • Anyone who is in a committed relationship should have both names on the STD and invitation.

Anyone who is single you can put "and guest" if you know with 100% certaintly you will be affording him/her a plus one. Otherwise, just address it to the guest, and add the plus one or date's name when it is time for invitations to go out.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, you don't have to put plus ones or SOs on the STD. You put them on the invitation but if you have to make cuts and you already told people that they could bring a plus one, your stuck.

Plus ones, no. If they are in relationship, yes.
