My dress comes with a belt and the consultant suggested to me having it sew right onto the dress so there is now bow hanging in the back.  what do you think?  This is the dress.

Gorgeous dress! I think, if it were mine, I'd keep the bow! I'm not a 'bow' person, but it suits this dress! I think regardless of your choice, it'll look good either way! I don't think there's a right or wrong way to go here. :)

  • I love bows, so I'd keep it, but it's really up to you.

    You have a gorgeous dress!

  • Thanks!  I think I prefer the bow as well, the only reason I second guess it was because when I purchased it my consultant made a comment about them sewing it to the dress "because no one wants a bow".  It made me think maybe I shouldn't wear it with the bow.    I later found the dress online and saw it with the bow and though why would she suggest I don't have one, so was looking for opinions!!
  • With this dress, I like the bow.  My dress had a sash attached in the front and I *HATED* that bow.  I think the material was too thick or something so it made for a big ole bow.  Plus, I'm not a thin girl so it emphasized my already ginormous butt.  Instead we knotted it like men's necktie and it just flowed down my train since there were embellishments on the lower part of the sash.
  • I like the bow, and I usually hate bows.

When I tried on my dress, I was warned that it came with an extra detail on the bust that they had taken off the sample since a lot of brides who tried on the dress didn't like it. When the dress came in, I tried it on with that extra detail... and I loved it like that even more than I had without it. Every bride is different - just because your consultant recommends it to you because that's what a lot of other people prefer doesn't mean it's going to be right for you!

  • The bow is nice, I'd keep it on this dress.

Personally, I like the bow. How about this... If your wedding is formal, maybe remove the bow? And if you're going for a sweeter, more romantic look then keep it? Either way, it's a gorgeous gown! Like PPs have said, you may know when you try it on when it comes in. I HATE bows, and was going to make my sash straight across, but by the time my gown came in our wedding had taken on a "feel" and the bow was perfect. Good luck!
