Brr!  There's a chill in the air this morning. Yay fall!

How was the weekend?

Ours was OK.  We went to a festival on Friday and it was totally a white trash derby. The kiddo went home with my IL's and ended up staying the weekend.

Saturday, DH, DefConn, and I got some running around done.  I also went shopping on my own and got new bras that I think I'm in love with.

Yesterday, my IL's, SIL, and nieces all came over.  We watched the Colts game and had dinner.  DefConn took a nap and woke up cranky and feverish.  DH is home today and taking him to the doc.  I knew he was going to get one more EI before tubes.

    Buffy and I flaked on playgroup and stuck w/ local this weekend.  We played w/ moonsand (FTR, that stuff is of the devil and is an OUTSIDE toy only.  and people who hate playdoh color mixing should NOT buy it; it's impossible not to color mix with it) and puddle jumped.

    And we sorted stuff...I dropped 6 garbage bags worth of stuff @ the thrift store and have 2 more that I"m trying to give away elsewhere, but that may end up there too.


    Sunday we did family day--we left the house to go to the ginormous local petstore and buy crickets and have buffy look at stuff.  and we bought a new pleco for Buffy's tank

    Also, I bought pumpkin pie cream liqueur.  Reccomend.

    Saturday we (me, H, a friend, and DD) went to 6 Flags. H doesn't do roller coasters so he and DD had a lot of quality time together, which was awesome. BUT DD also went on her first rides!!!! She went on:

    The Carousel (and got mad when it was time to get off)
    The Teacups (Hit me when it was time to get off - we talked about getting back in line and not hitting)
    The Kiddie Sling Shot Swings 
    The Kiddie Roller Coaster (the only one she wasn't crazy about)
    The Ferris Wheel (she liked it when we moved but just hanging out in the bucket didn't grab her)

    It was also Fright Fest so when it got dark the zombies came out. We got a picture of DD with a zombie clown. Its me and our friend smiling at the camera and DD staring in awe at the zombie. Then DD started pointing at the carousel and babbling because she was telling the zombie about it. It was awesome and hilarious.


    Sunday I busted my butt finishing the first 80-ish communication cards for DD. They're being laminated now! I'm so excited I could pee.

    The only bad thing this weekend was that the very promising nanny candidate was a no-show/no-call/no-answer for the second/practical interview. I'm really disappointed. Tonight we have an interview with someone and I have a phone call with another.
