Wedding Woes

Negative thing

Our a/c is toast.  I guess the positive is we have time and money to shop around and do some dealing.  We knew it was coming and we're kind of hoping to tie it into a furnace replacement.  We're going to try the Costco people and a few other companies.  Costco and one place have some rebates and we might be able to get tax credits.  Maybe it will help the electric bill too.

  • You're lucky it isn't in the 90s at least.  Every time our's died (three summers in a row), it was always over 90 and could never get anyone out for a week.  I'm sure it will be more efficient than what you had.  I never looked to see if our energy bills went down after it was installed in May.  I'm sad they only last about 12-15 years anymore.

  • We had problems last summer when it was over 100.  It was also toasty when it went out earlier this summer, but the timing is good now.  The furnace and ac were installed in 97 so we were hoping for one more year.

  • Ugh what a pain. At least it's fall now and you do have the benefit of time.
